Effycient's No-Code Low-Code Hackathon, a five-day long hackathon was hosted by Effycient. This Hackathon allow new and experienced developers/designers (teams or solo) to use no-code or low-code tools like Figma, Webflow, Bubble and etc to build an app or website to help a niche community. In this hackathon, our team used Figma to build the wireframe and prototype. We build an app called My Future Career. My Future Career aim to serve as a platform where users can track their jobs application, do career planning, connect with mentors and upskill themselve.
Our app vision is to create a better and meaningful job seeking journey for every users.
Based on historical trends, the average job search may take somewhere around five to six months from application to hiring. This may due to lack of planning and lack of career direction.
Firstly, finding a job requires a plan. To secure a job and increase the probability to get hired, job seekers will need themself which make them meet the job requirement. To name a few, resume preparation, cover letter preparation, soft skills and hard skills.
Secondly, multiple job application platforms may make so much noise. Thanks to internt job seekers can now apply jobs via different platform. However, job seeker will have to track jobs on every platform which they may overlook the applied jobs or potential oppotunities.
Thridly, individual might need help when doing their career planning. Philosophy and goals are changing constantly, job seekers might find themself losing direction when they are building their career.
Therefore, our team aimed to create a platform where users can track their jobs application, do career planning, connect with mentors and upskill themselve.

International Team
Our team included members from Kenya, Indonesia, United State and Malaysia, this increased the difficulty when we were trying to find a meeting time which suite everyone's schedule due to different time zone. Thanks to Calendy and Google Calendar which automatically convert the time for users, we use these two tools to align our meeting time. Interestingly, we did also benefit from the time zone different, for example, we have more time to take turn to continue the projects during our region day time.

Through this hackathon, I learnt about Bubble from my teammate, another tool where I can create digital products for FREE!
